Welcome to Cathy's Cathartic Corner
Looking back on my life, I’ve always enjoyed writing. I loved filling in my diary as a child and when I left home at an early age became a regular letter writer, albeit out of necessity. My working life as a secretary and administrator meant my word skills were useful and well used. However, it wasn’t until I joined a local writing group that I found myself instinctively drawn to relaying my life experiences, whether good, bad, sad, funny or merely observational. I have had a few articles published and even done the occasional reading which has been surprisingly satisfying.
I’m not trying to convey any specific message with my writing selection, my pieces are merely events that have happened to me. My life hasn’t always been easy so there are a few pieces that will not be for the faint hearted, but I hope that most will give the reader food for thought or be informative.
Please do feel free to leave a comment via the ‘Get in Touch‘ key at the bottom of each page. I’m always interested to know what amused/moved/irritated you and to receive constructive comments! Also please let me know if you can’t open a link or there is an obvious error so I can rectify it. Messages go privately to my webmail address and cannot be viewed by others.

Special thanks must go to Phil Barnett, my Web Designer from Abcissa Websites who helped me get my scribbles off the ground in 2021. My initial knowledge in this area could have been written on a postage stamp, so I have learnt much along the way and am indebted to him for his patience!
